What to expect while visiting Bellevue Christian Church...

Every church does things in their own way. We figure, the more you know what to expect when you come to Bellevue Christian Church, the more comfortable you'll feel. So, we came up with a series of questions that you might have (we know because we were visitors too at one time) and answered them...

Bellevue Christian Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God fellowship (www.ag.org). It is made up of less-than-perfect people of all ages and backgrounds who have put their trust in Jesus and made a determination to follow Jesus. We believe that following Jesus is more of an adventure to be lived than a ritual to be observed. We are a place for those who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions, investigating the claims of Jesus, or those who have committed their lives to Him and want to grow in their spiritual life, and serve God.

What kind of church is BCC?

Some people at Bellevue Christian Church to choose dress up while others prefer a casual and comfortable approach. We invite you to wear any modest clothing that you are comfortable with.

What should I wear?

Kids are extremely important to us, and they have their own service. For the little ones (to age 5), nursery is available just off the main hallway. For kids age 5 through 12 there is a special service with snacks and crafts. The nursery and children’s workers are screened and well trained for your safety.

What about my kids?

We will begin with about 20-30 minutes of singing. Feel free to sit, stand, sing, dance, or just listen as we express our worship using all our heart, mind, soul and body. If you don’t know the songs, hang on, we’ll sing them a couple of times, and don’t worry, we didn’t know them at first either.

What are worship services like?

At BCC, we strive to be warm and welcoming family gathering together to worship our Lord Jesus and reflect on our relationship with Him. Here is what a typical service looks like...

Connection Time: Half an hour before the service starts we invite you to grab a cup of coffee, hang out with friends, and make new friends in the lobby area.

Welcome and Announcements: A time to let everyone know what is going on during the week.

Worship Through Song: We will begin with about 20-30 minutes of singing. Feel free to sit, stand, sing, dance, or just listen as we express our worship using all our heart, mind, soul and body. If you don’t know the songs, hang on, we’ll sing them a couple of times, and don’t worry, we didn’t know them at first either.

Worship Through Giving: This is a time for the church members to share with the church financially how God has blessed them. If you are a visitor, we want you to receive. The only gift we’d like from you is your connection card.

The Message: A time of practical teaching from the Bible.

Roots Kids Church: While we are in the sanctuary worshiping, the kids, ages 5 through 12, are having fun and learning about Jesus in the Student Ministry building.

Closing: This is the time when the Pastor may call people up for prayer for specific needs or in

response to the message. Feel free to respond as God leads you.
