Happy New Year! And, thank you for joining in as we begin the year with seven days of waiting on the Lord in prayer.

Each day we are going to learn waiting on the Lord. There were four aspects to Waiting on the Lord we talked about on New Years Day Service.

W - Waiting is remembering His WORD

A - Waiting is not passive but ACTIVE

I - Waiting is INTERCEDING

T - Waiting is TRAINING for our faith

Every day, there will be a scripture we will meditate on together and a prayer point to pray. Take a few minutes, quiet your heart, and read the verse and ask, "what is the Lord saying to me through this scripture?" And, then take a few minutes to hear the Lord, and how he wants to apply this in your life today as you learn to wait on Him. This is also the week of prayer for our fellowship throughout the world. Following the verse of the day, there is a prayer point. We will join all our brothers and sisters in the Assemblies of God fellowship to pray.

Day #7

Scripture Verse

"Things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might and the wonders that he has done....that the next generation might know them...so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments. Psalm 78:3,7

THE NEXT GENERATION (OUR CHILDREN & YOUTH) Pray for the Holy Spirit to capture the hearts of our children and teens so that they will passionately pursue Jesus.

Day #6

Scripture Verse

"I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd." John 10:15-16

Prayer Point

MISSION - Pray for those who do not know the Lord, and for opportunities and boldness to share the gospel with those who need Christ.

Day #5

Scripture Verse

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Prayer Point

FELLOW CHRISTIANS - Pray for our brothers and sisters around the world to stand firm even as they face persecution for their faith..

Day #4

Scripture Verse

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

Prayer Point

UNITY - Along with a consistent prayer life, pray that believers will be unified in love as we seek God together.

Day #3

Scripture Verse

"And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:9-13

Prayer Point

SIGNS & WONDERS - Pray for miracles and healings that demonstrate God’s power to our unbelieving world.

Day #2

Do not let mercy and truth leave you; bind them around your neck write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and people. Proverbs 3:3-4

COMPASSION - Pray for a heart of compassion and mercy and understanding that reaches out to those in need.
